Bridgestone//Firestone North America, LLC has recalled 135,310 Firestone FR380 and 26,941 Lemans Champion SE tires. Both types of tires involve tire size P235/75R15 and were produced with an insufficient tread base. As a result, use of the tires could lead to vibration and groove cracking. Extended use could lead to tread distortion or separation and loss of vehicle control. Chrysler is recalling 13,350 model year 2009 Town and Country and Dodge Caravan vehicles for a corrosion problem in unused electrical connectors. Some of the electrical connectors, used in the blind spot detection system, can corrode and short circuit. If the circuit fuse does not open the circuit, the connectors can overheat and possibly ignite. Chrysler is also recalling 108,429 model year 2007-2008 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks equipped with 6.7 liter engines. It has been determined that a silencer pad can sag and make contact with the exhaust gas recirculation cooler. The contact has the potential of causing an engine fire. Ford Motor Company has recalled 11,134 model year 2009 Ford Ranger vehicles. Some of the wheel spindles were manufactured improperly and can fracture while in use. General Motors has recalled 16,667 model year 2009 Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia and Saturn Outlook vehicles. These vehicles have been built with a safety belt buckle in the second or third row that is missing a rivet. Mazda Motor Corporation has recalled 29,000 model year 2009 Mazda6 vehicles. The outer door handles can stick which can prevent the door from latching. While the vehicle is in motion, the unlatched door can open causing an unbelted passenger to be ejected from the vehicle.
