Homelite has recalled approximately 85,000 units due to a faulty fuel tank. the fuel tank can leak gasoline resulting in a fire hazard to consumers. The models involved in this recall are UT08580 with date codes from ATK1820001 through ATK3659999. In addtion, model UT08580A with date codes from ATL1530001 through ATL3669999 and ATM0010001 through ATM1749999 are involved. Commercial Ice Cube Machines -
The Scotsman Group has recalled approximately 43,000 commercial ice machines. The problem with the machines is that a solenoid (an electrical component) can fail and in the process, produce an electrical arc that poses a fire hazard. The recalled units are designed to be installed on top of ice storage bins or ice dispensers and are typically found in commercial establishments. The models that were recalled begin with following characters: C0322, C0330, C0522, C0530, C0630, C0830, C1030, C1448, C1848, C2148, EH130, EH222, EH330, and EH430. The serial numbers of the recalled machines begin with 05, 06, 07, 08, and 09. Gas Grills -
Lucas Innovation Inc. of China has recalled approximately 663,000 gas grills sold in the United States and 1700 sold in Canada. The gas grills were sold under the Perfect Flame brand name, SLG series, at Lowe's retail stores nationwide. The grills were recalled due to the deterioration of the gas burners producing an irregular flame and subsequent burn and fire hazard to consumers. In addition, the lid can ignite further contributing to the hazard. The models that are involved in this recall are: SLG2006B, SLG2006BN, SLG2006C, SLG2006CN, SLG2007A, SLG2007B, SLG2007BN, SLG2007D, SLG2007DN, and SLG2008A. Tube Yokes -
Dana Holding Corporation has announced the recall of 32560 tube yokes used in the assembly of vehicle driveshafts. The defective driveshafts have been identified as having been used in certain Ford, Nissan, and Toyota vehicles. The problem with the yokes is that cracks have been found on the yoke lug ears. The cracks can cause driveshaft failure and increases the risk of a vehicle crash. Dana is currently working with vehicle manufacturers to assist in determining vehicle specific remedies.
