 Toyota Avalon, Lexus Recall

Toyota has announced that it will recall approximately 1,530,000 Avalon, Lexus and Highlander vehicles. These vehicles have been identified as having problems with the master cylinder and fuel pumps. Specifically, the master cylinder can leak brake fluid. Over time, the lack of brake fluid can lead to reduced braking capacity. In addition, these vehicles also have an electrical problem which causes the fuel pump to stop resulting in engine stall. Both of these problems can lead to loss of vehicle control and eventual crashes. The vehicles that are part of this recall are: 2005-2006 Avalon. 2004-2006 non-hybrid Highlander and Lexus RX330, 2006 Lexus GS300, IS250, and IS350 models. For further information, contact the Toyota Customer Experience Center at 1-800-331-4331 or visit their website at www.toyota.com/recall
